Muppet Whatnots

Now I just discovered these beauties in the last 24 hours (yeah, I know, which rock have I been hiding under?) and I am obsessed!! I have played around on the online whatnot creator http://www.fao.com/whatnots/builder.jsp# and have made a Muppet Mii which I now WANT!! They are a bit pricey at $129 but when you consider you design it from a 'parts' selection and it's made up to your specification and that due to the amount of choices there will be very few the same out there... I think it's a great investment. Right now there's also $30 off... soooo tempting until I emailed them to see if they ship to the UK. Within 2 hours I had a reply, no they don't, but the flagship New York store does! I had the number provided in the email too so I rang up and spoke to a lady with the most amazing Brooklyn accent! (I know it was Brooklyn because I asked her). She was very helpful taking my post code and going to find out how much to ship with UPS International.... she came back... $275!!! What?!?!?! She asked if I knew any US citizens they could ship to because then it was only $30 max, when I said I did, she was ecstatic, "Oh Honey, get your friend to send it to you, they only weigh 5 pounds!" So now I need to work on my hubby to let me have my very own Muppet Whatnot and sweet-talk my lovely American friend into receiving it and then forwarding it on to me.... Wish me luck...
